Job summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) at Summit Health Management is responsible for welcoming patients at CityMD, registering them, and coordinating with the team for timely service. You will answer questions with urgency and kindness, on the phone or in person, and handle all paperwork related to patient registration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual language skills preferred depending on site location.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments is preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented team player with strong computer skills.
• Able to type ~55 wpm and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Flexible and adaptive to a changing environment.
• Ability to interact professionally with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients with a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Organize patient intake and coordinate appointments.
• Enter and update patient information accurately in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork and scanning/filing of records.
• Answer phone calls promptly and politely.
• Verify insurance eligibility and liaise with Billing as needed.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately and responsibly.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Notify site manager of waiting times and patient inquiries.
