Job summary

Summit Health Management’s CityMD location is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients, register them, and coordinate with the care team to ensure timely service.

You will enter patient information, assist with paperwork, scan records, verify insurance, handle cash and co-pays, and provide outstanding customer service with a helpful, can-do attitude. Bilingual skills are a plus depending on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Typing speed around 55 wpm and basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Organize and coordinate patient intake and appointments.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork when necessary.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls and inquiries promptly and politely.
• Process medical insurance information and verify eligibility; liaise with Billing as appropriate.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of wait times and patient inquiries.
