Summit Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to warmly welcome patients at CityMD locations, register patients, and coordinate timely care. The role emphasizes accuracy in data entry and insurance verification, with a focus on courteous communication.

You will work with physicians and staff to ensure smooth patient flow, coordinate appointments, and support billing with insurance questions. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency with high typing speed (≈55 wpm).
• Flexible/adaptable in a dynamic healthcare setting.
• Bilingual skills may be required or preferred depending on site.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service environments preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Coordinate patient intake and appointment scheduling.
• Enter/update patient information in the system.
• Assist patients with paperwork.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer calls in a prompt and polite manner.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility; liaise with Billing.
• Handle cash and co-payments accurately.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of waiting times and patient inquiries.
