Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to warmly welcome incoming patients at CityMD facilities. You will register patients, coordinate with the team for timely turnaround, and respond to questions with urgency and kindness, handling paperwork related to registration.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling, data entry, assisting with forms, updating records, answering calls, verifying insurance, and liaising with Billing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Friendly, welcoming attitude with patients and coworkers.
• Experience in high-volume/high-intensity service industry preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and a team player.
• Computer proficiency and typing speed around 55 wpm.
• Flexible/adaptable in a continuously evolving environment.
• Passion for helping others in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills required or preferred based on site location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients.
• Organizing and coordinating patient intake and other appointments.
• Accurately enter/update patient information in system.
• Assist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
• Scan, update and file medical records.
• Answer phone calls and inquiries promptly and politely.
• Process medical insurance information, verify eligibility and liaise with Billing as needed.
• Handle cash and co-pays accurately and responsibly.
• Provide outstanding customer service to every patient.
• Inform site manager of waiting room wait times and inquiries.
