Maine Optometry is seeking a part-time Patient Scheduling Representative to book exams and improve clinic flow. Work is on-site or hybrid in Gorham, ME, with a training period on-site and core hours Mon-Tue 8a-5p.

The ideal candidate has strong communication, a customer-service mindset, and the ability to handle high-volume scheduling while protecting patient privacy under HIPAA. Comprehensive training is provided. Experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare or customer service is a plus but not required; training provided.

Responsabilités

• Schedule high-volume appointments for multiple physicians.
• Cancel and reschedule as needed.
• Provide clear instructions to prepare patients for examinations.
• Maximize schedule efficiency by offering next available slots by location.
• Maintain knowledge of patient privacy rights under HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Training period of 6–8 weeks on-site in Gorham.
