Job summary

The Scheduler will use Allscripts and Centricity, manage online paging, and ensure HIPAA compliance while delivering friendly, professional service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• Direct patient interaction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow-up/return visits for patients.
• Obtain pre-certification and pre-authorization as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures and inform patients of instructions.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide written follow-up instructions.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and paging systems; retrieve information from hospital systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and display a friendly, helpful attitude.
