Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler to join Texas Oncology at the San Antonio clinic. This full-time position supports scheduling patient appointments and tests, answers calls, and serves as a liaison between patients and medical staff.

Hours are 8a-5p, Monday through Friday. Under supervision, the scheduler will obtain insurance authorization, document referrals, collect co-pays, and maintain primary scheduling templates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new and returning patients and referrals in the EMR system.
• Obtains insurance authorization and documents referrals.
• Collects co-pays and other payments at visit time.
• Maintains scheduling templates and coordinates with clinic staff.
