Job summary

The University of Miami Health System in Miami is seeking a Patient Scheduler 3 to provide call center–style patient scheduling, coordinating exams and procedures within the Cardiology Imaging Services.

You will interact with physicians, radiologists, technologists, and patients; manage high call volumes; use scheduling software and electronic records; ensure accurate exam times and patient prep; support multi-modality scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred call center experience.
• Ability to use scheduling software and computer systems.
• Strong communication and data-entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and contact patients to determine exam times.
• Screen and verify information to schedule exams accurately.
• Educate patients about exam preparation and timelines.
• Schedule exams across multiple modalities and entities within UHealth.
• Coordinate with physicians, radiologists, technologists, and patients to ensure smooth procedures.
• Obtain required information from referring physicians or patients for exams.
• Notify parties about labs, premedication, or implant information when needed.
• Follow University and unit policies and safeguard assets.
