Job summary

Hchcares is seeking a part-time patient registration assistant to interview incoming patients or representatives, collect and record essential information, and distribute forms to the correct departments. You will obtain signed statements and consents and help ensure precertification for outpatient services when applicable.

This role supports switchboard operators and lobby staff, contributes to a smooth registration process, and participates in a team focused on accuracy, privacy, and customer

Qualifications

• Proficient typing skills.
• Above average spelling ability with good communication and judgment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview incoming patients or representatives to obtain and record information for registration.
• Distribute copies to appropriate departments.
• Obtain signed statements and consents.
• Ensure precertification is obtained for outpatient services when applicable.
• Provide relief to switchboard operators and lobby managers.
