Job summary

Providence Swedish Issaquah is seeking a Registration Specialist to coordinate patient flow and gather essential demographic and financial data during admission.

You will provide front-line service, respond to billing or insurance questions, assist with financial aid, and support the POS team to ensure accurate patient information throughout hospitalization.

Experience in medical settings preferred; an Associate's degree and familiarity with medical terminology are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical setting handling inpatient or outpatient admitting is preferred.
• Front-line customer service including reception and registration responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate information and support for patient flow in hospital and ED.
• Interview patients and families to obtain demographic and financial data and processing consents.
• Assist with billing, insurance questions and financial aid; explore alternative coverage options.
• Serve as POS team expert to facilitate registration during hospitalization and coordinate with physician offices.
