Job summary

AdventHealth in Sanford, FL is seeking a patient access/registration professional to join our team. You will prepare, process, and file medical records and assist with patient registration, ensuring accurate data, insurance verification, and up-front collections as needed.

This full-time role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work weekdays and weekends, and familiarity with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Previous customer service experience [Preferred]
• Phlebotomy skills (Preferred)
• Knowledge of EMR systems (Preferred)
• General knowledge of medical terminology and billing (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and file the medical record for each patient as required
• Assist with patient registration and obtain demographic, employment, and insurance information
• Verify insurance eligibility and determine up-front collection amount
• Respond to patient questions and concerns to ensure prompt resolution
• Elevate patient experience through strong customer service and teamwork
