Enloe Health is a Level II Trauma Center in Northern California seeking a Patient Referral Coordinator. You will verify patient demographics and insurance eligibility, process referrals and packets, and enter data into the EMR daily, coordinating with Financial Coordinators to validate authorizations for procedures before the first visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Two years of experience in a medical front office or back-office setting and two years clerical and data entry experience OR Six months experience as a Clinic Registration Rep at Enloe Health
• Prior office experience in specialty being hired for (ie Women's health, Oncology, etc)
• Prior medical billing experience
• Medical terminology
• Database knowledge
• Data research and report composition
• Internet use
• Electronic Medical Record

Responsibilities

• Verifying and updating patient demographic data and insurance eligibility.
• Collecting and processing departmental referrals, new patient packets, external reports, and data entry into the EMR daily.
• Communicating with Financial Coordinators to ensure insurance authorizations are valid for procedures, tests, or treatments.
• Create a friendly, cooperative impression in interactions with internal and external customers and manage multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Establishing and maintaining an orderly work environment to support smooth operations for the Clinic/Department.
• Attending assigned meetings.
