Job summary

You will guide daily activities, implement system-wide best practices, and work with nursing and clinical teams to ensure diet orders are followed with high-quality service. The role requires a Registered Dietitian and leadership in a hospital setting, with a focus on safety, cost-effective care, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day (Utah/Idaho only).
• Experience leading diverse teams and strong communication skills.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives; proficiency in spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Leads education with nursing and ensures diet orders are followed.
• Develops plans with clinical teams to improve care and service at appropriate cost.
• Oversees HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, and discipline.
