Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. seeks a leader for Patient Services within the hospital's Culinary Service department. You will oversee daily operations, ensure therapeutic diets are followed, and collaborate with nursing to deliver exceptional patient meals and experiences.

You will implement clinical best practices, manage staff, ensure food safety and regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvements across the service line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management; RD with CDR within 6 months.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (Utah/Idaho).
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of hire date if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Implements established clinical best practices to deliver care cost-effectively.
• Provides value-based leadership to establish high-functioning teams and operations.
• Manages HR functions including hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and conflict resolution.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and satisfaction scores; develops improvement plans.
• Collaborates with clinical team to address diet orders and concerns.
