Job summary

You will coordinate with nursing, manage staff, and implement cost-effective, evidence-based practices to meet provider orders and patient needs. The role requires a Registered Dietitian or eligibility, with strong people leadership, compliance, and nutrition expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian credential with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification is required by first day of work (Utah and Idaho states).
• ServSafe certification obtained within 90 days of hire if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partners with nursing to educate and ensure guidelines are followed.
• Leads patient meal areas and trains in therapeutic diets.
• Implements best practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Provides value-based leadership to build high-functioning teams.
• Manages hiring, training, mentoring, discipline, and termination processes.
• Ensures food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitors quality and patient satisfaction scores.
• Collaborates with system-level directors to achieve outcomes.
• Coordinates with clinical team on diet orders and concerns.
