Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification by first day of work (Utah/Idaho).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Experience using word processing, advanced or complex spreadsheet and database applications, internet and e-mail and scheduling applications, as well as computerized tracking systems.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partner with nursing to meet patients’ needs and educate staff.
• Lead patient meal areas and train in therapeutic diets.
• Coordinate with frontline caregivers to follow diets per provider orders.
• Implement established clinical practices to deliver care at appropriate cost.
• Provide value-based leadership to high-functioning teams.
• Handle HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, discipline.
• Ensure food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor quality and satisfaction scores; drive improvement.
• Collaborate with clinical team on patient diet orders.
