Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service, Dietetics, Nutrition or Management.
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required within 6 months of hire.
• Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work (states Utah/Idaho).
• ServSafe certification must be obtained within 90 days if not current.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and scheduling apps; tracking systems.
• Experience in quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of patient meal services.
• Partner with nursing to educate and meet patient needs while following guidelines.
• Lead patient meal areas and train in therapeutic diets per provider orders.
• Coordinate with frontline caregivers to ensure diets follow orders.
• Implement clinical best practices for high-quality care at appropriate cost.
• Provide value-based leadership for high-functioning teams and accountable environments.
• Oversee HR functions: hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating and discipline.
• Ensure food safety standards and regulatory compliance; monitor quality and satisfaction scores.
• Collaborate with system-level Directors to plan for desired outcomes.
• Communicate nutrition expertise with healthcare providers.
• Work with clinical team to address patient diet orders and concerns.
