Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to support ambulatory care operations. You will greet patients, schedule and register visits, and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out experience while maintaining confidentiality and patient satisfaction.

The role requires strong customer service, multitasking, and computer skills, with experience in EMR/EHR systems. Travel to multiple locations may be required as needed to cover coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 1+ year customer service experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Willingness to travel to multiple locations.

Responsabilités

• Promotes patient satisfaction by providing excellent service and friendly interactions with patients and visitors.
• Manages patient check-in/check-out process and verifies demographic information.
• Monitors scheduling and registration in EMR; escalates issues for optimized provider scheduling.
• Receives and directs communications via EMR, phone, email, and RightFax.
• Reviews mail and distributes documents; prepares reports as needed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
• Prioritizes tasks and follows up with peers to ensure high-quality care.
• Reconciles payments and ensures accurate daily cash receipts.
• Travel may be required to cover other locations.
