Job summary

NSPC is seeking a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced clinical office in Arlington, VA. You will greet patients, prepare them for care, and assist Providers with procedures while maintaining sterile technique and accurate charting.

The role requires taking vital signs, managing patient flow, and ensuring privacy under HIPAA. Office-based admin duties and adherence to NSPC policies are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred OR two years of MA experience.
• At least one year of related experience, preferably in a group practice.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and prepares them for care, managing daily patient flow.
• Take vital signs and document patient charts with accuracy.
• Assist Providers with procedures and relay messages; maintain sterile/aseptic technique.
• Prepare and clean exam/procedure/recovery rooms before and after patients.
• Complete documentation for patient charts including labs, imaging, meds and allergies.
• Provide discharge/follow-up instructions and educational materials.
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and NSPC policies; ensure privacy.
• Perform administrative duties when clinical duties are complete.
