Job summary

NSPC is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, prepare them for care, and assist with procedures under guidance of the Center Manager and Providers. You will manage patient flow, relay messages, and document vitals and orders in the chart.

Role requires basic medical terminology knowledge, HIPAA and OSHA familiarity, and strong patient care and organizational skills. On-site clinic environment with standard equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred or 2+ years MA experience.
• At least 1 year of related experience in a group practice.
• Ability to take vital signs and document findings.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance criteria.
• Familiarity with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting areas and exam rooms.
• Prepare patients for care while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Manage daily patient flow and liaison between providers and patients.
• Relay clinical messages and document in patient charts.
• Assist with procedures and maintain sterile technique.
• Perform post-care calls and arrange follow-ups as needed.
• Maintain infection control and HIPAA privacy standards.
• Handle administrative duties after clinical tasks are done.
