Job summary

NSPC seeks a Medical Assistant to support the Center Manager and Providers by greeting patients, relaying messages, assisting with procedures, and maintaining sterile technique.

The role focuses on managing patient flow, preparing exam and recovery rooms, taking vitals, documenting results, and reviewing medications while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards. When not with patients, you assist with administrative tasks and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Medical Assisting program preferred or 2 years MA experience.
• At least 1 year of related experience, preferably in a group practice.
• Ability to take vital signs.
• General knowledge of healthcare terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance criteria for labs, X-rays, and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn EMR and scheduling software.
