Job summary

Tennessee Urology in Powell, TN is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to provide superb patient and staff service and to support the office operations independently and with minimal supervision.

The role handles scheduling, intake, payments, documentation in Practice Management and EHR, verifies referrals, scans IDs, and coordinates travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region; HIPAA compliance; strong customer service essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two (2) years of front office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• 1 - 2 years of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice.
• Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling tests per physician directions.
• Ensure all required patient paperwork is prepared for that day’s appointments.
• Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into Practice Management.
• Enter patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR.
• Scan driver’s license and insurance cards into Ntierprise.
• Obtain and attach referrals in the EMR for each appointment.
• Reconcile payment batches at day end and report to Site Manager.
• Coordinate follow-up procedures and local ASC cases.
• Assist patients with Phreesia registration.
• Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region.
