Job summary

Tennessee Urology seeks an Imaging Front Desk Receptionist to deliver exceptional patient service and provide essential administrative support for the imaging department. This full-time role requires handling scheduling, patient prep, and documentation with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will manage front-desk duties, ensure accurate data entry into EHR/PM systems, and coordinate with radiology staff to maintain smooth daily operations. HIPAA compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of front office experience, preferably in a medical or imaging setting.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and professional first impression and ensure patients experience a welcoming environment.
• Schedule in-house imaging appointments and coordinate patient prep instructions.
• Ensure all required paperwork and orders are prepared for the day’s appointments.
• Collect co-pays and balances at check-in and enter payments into the Practice Management system.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance information, and clinical data into the EHR system.
• Scan IDs and insurance cards into the EMR system accurately.
• Verify referrals and authorizations and link orders to appointments.
• Reconcile payment batches daily and submit to Site Manager.
• Schedule follow-up imaging studies and assist radiologist-directed procedures.
• Assist patients with digital registration and questionnaires.
