Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated healthcare billing professional to manage collection and follow-up of outstanding balances for ALMH and TMH Patient Accounts. The role involves assessing eligibility for financial assistance, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting Memorial Health System standards of safety, courtesy, quality and efficiency.

Minimum of a high school diploma required, with 1+ year experience in healthcare billing or collections preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year healthcare insurance or billing experience preferred.
• Experience as a collector is highly desirable.
• Experience with Word and Excel preferred.
• Basic PC knowledge and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD coding and UB-04 forms preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work with internal/external customers.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of financial assistance programs and poverty guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Collect and follow up on unpaid self-pay and liability balances.
• Determine customers’ eligibility for financial assistance programs.
• Use system screens to enter, retrieve, and annotate information.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
