Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in hospital, medical office or clinic setting preferred.
• Experience in medical billing or related education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, edit and submit patient billing claims and reports.
• Handle inquiries from patients and third parties regarding billing procedures.
• Calculate and discuss payment plans with patients when appropriate.
• Assist with cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of payer requirements and hospital guidelines.
