Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree preferred in related field.
• Minimum 3 years in healthcare financial counseling or related revenue cycle role.
• Experience with Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance programs.
• 5+ years in healthcare financial counseling, collections, or revenue cycle.
• Experience in hospital/behavioral health environment preferred.
• Knowledge of Commercial Insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, patient financial responsibility.
• Proficiency in patient accounting systems, EHR, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex insurance/financial information clearly and compassionately.
• Strong organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and coverage information.
• Audit admission and registration documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Review and maintain patient demographics/insurance within systems.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, and payment options.
• Collect patient financial responsibility amounts per policy.
• Facilitate payment arrangements and financial assistance programs.
• Complete financial assistance applications and verify income/expenses.
• Prepare charity care and payment plan documentation.
• Maintain logs for collections, charity care, and adjustments.
• Analyze patient accounts to support timely reimbursement.
• Collaborate with admissions, revenue cycle, and clinical teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Participate in audits, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
