Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Financial Clearance Specialist to screen self-pay patients at hospital bedside for program eligibility. You will identify payor sources, route accounts, and assist patients in applying for benefits, with a Monday–Friday schedule and some weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years work experience with Social Services or Hospital Admitting or related area.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and/or family members to collect information.
• Records and maintains complete documentation of activities on accounts.
• Performs financial clearance including collections and eligibility for programs.
• Follows up on government applications and ensures eligibility is processed.
• Conducts field visits for skip tracing and assisting patients with documents.
• Notifies hospital staff of determinations via verbal and written communication.
