Job summary

Conifer Health, part of the Tenet family, seeks a patient financial screening specialist at Princeton Medical Center. You will interview patients, determine eligibility for government and other programs, collect documents, and guide them in applying for benefits.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, performing financial clearance, following up on government applications, and coordinating with case management. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Interview patients and/or family members to determine eligibility for government and other programs.
• Document and maintain complete records of activities in the patient accounting cycle.
• Perform financial clearance, including collections and determining eligibility for programs.
• Follow up on government applications and coordinate with case management and admissions staff.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients for eligibility across programs.
• Identify potential payors including auto insurance, workers' comp, and private insurance.
• Obtain and complete Confidential Financial Statement forms for benefits.
• Conduct field visits for skip tracing or document assistance as needed.
• Notify relevant hospital staff of screening outcomes and eligibility results.
