Job summary

Conifer Health Solutions, LLC. in Phoenix is seeking a Healthcare Financial Clearance Clerk to screen self-pay patients at the bedside for eligibility in government and non-government programs.

You will identify payor sources and route accounts accordingly, and assist patients with completing financial assistance applications. The role requires interviewing patients, documenting activities, and performing financial clearance including collections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience with Social Services or Hospital Admitting.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.
• Proficient PC and office software with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients at bedside for eligibility in government and non-government programs.
• Identify payor sources (auto, workers' comp, private, etc.) and route accounts.
• Complete Confidential Financial Statement and assist with benefits applications.
• Interview patients/family and document activities throughout the process.
• Perform financial clearance, including collections and applying for financial aid.
• Notify staff of screening determinations and follow up on government applications.
