The role requires greeting patients, verifying insurance, processing registrations and copays, and coordinating with clinicians to ensure smooth patient flow. Strong customer service, communication, and basic computer skills (EMR) are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of front desk/reception experience.
• Healthcare outpatient customer service preferred.
• Willing to work up to 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to assist patients with mobility needs.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Typing speed of 25 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly manner.
• Check in patients, verify insurances, update records, and collect copays.
• Advocate for patients in coordination with clinical staff.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly.
• Maintain neat waiting area.
• Assist patients with ambulatory needs, including wheelchairs.
• Open/close clinic procedures and reporting.
• Perform additional clerical duties as needed.
