Job summary

Intermountain Clinic in Colorado is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet, check-in/out, verify information, and assist with appointments, registrations, and billing while maintaining a high level of customer service.

The role emphasizes accurate EMR documentation, insurance coordination, and knowledge of financial assistance processes, with a 40-hour workweek and hourly pay range shown in the posting.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and professional connections with patients over the phone, in person or via secure messaging.
• Document all phone calls accurately and completely in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtain insurance cards, IDs, signatures and verify information for COB/authorization as needed.
• Assist patients with forms for billing/regulatory needs and educate on financial assistance; process payments.
• Stay current on role responsibilities via emails, dashboards, and meetings to maintain high performance.
