Baystate Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join the Neurology team in Springfield, Massachusetts. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary care team to perform essential administrative tasks supporting patient care, with a focus on excellent customer service for patients and families.

The PSR role includes managing patient experience, verification of insurance, handling payments, scheduling, check-out activities, and HIPAA-compliant document handling.

Competenze

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 6-18 months experience preferred (PSR I or II) or 3 years preferred (PSR III).

Mansioni

• Greet patients and verify demographics; check referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Verify insurance coverage using automated systems.
• Request, accept, and document co-payments or outstanding balances.
• Schedule new and follow-up appointments per practice guidelines.
• Review patient information at checkout; schedule future visits; provide referrals.
• Answer calls, route messages, and prepare/route documents in compliance with HIPAA.
