Job summary

Shannon Health is seeking a Patient Experience Specialist to perform clerical duties, register patients, and assist with insurance coordination. You will help with pre-authorizations, payments, and billing inquiries in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include appointment management, Epic message handling, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records. The role requires strong communication and customer-service skills in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
• One year of Clerical or General Office experience is required.
• Preferred: One year of cash handling experience.
• Preferred: One year of medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients, verify insurance and pre-authorizations.
• Assist with account payments, collections and patient inquiries.
• Coordinate appointments, follow-ups and referrals; manage related paperwork.
• Answer phones, process Epic messages, and handle mail and records.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; support team as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
