Advanced Urology Institute is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to ensure a seamless patient experience at the front desk and over the phone. You will greet patients, register them, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments while coordinating with clinical staff to move patients efficiently through intake and checkout.

Strong organizational skills, familiarity with PHI handling, and a basic understanding of medical terminology are important.

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and coordinate front desk tasks.
• Collect co-pays and update patient demographics accurately.
• Verify insurance information and obtain referrals as needed.
• Maintain organized front desk area and medical records.
• Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare terminology and HIPAA requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Keeps the front desk area clean and organized.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics with detailed information.
• Collects outstanding balances.
• Obtains referrals and authorizations when required.
• Scans incoming documents into patient charts.
• Generates daily batch reports.
• Notifies providers of patient arrivals and coordinates with staff.
• Schedules follow-up visits and services.
• Responds to inquiries courteously.
• Maintains stocked supplies and monitors equipment.
• Protects PHI and logs off when away.
• Ensures proper hand-off after tasks.
• Arrives on time and adheres to shifts.
• Respects diversity and complies with policies.
• Maintains accurate medical records and logs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
