Job summary

Centers for Advanced Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to provide exemplary service at the front desk, by phone or in person, coordinating patient intake and checkout processes. Qualifications

Must have 1–3 years of customer service experience in a medical office.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
Basic knowledge of CPT procedure coding and ICD-10 coding preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients and visitors at the front desk in person or by phone.
Register new patients and update demographics; collect co-pays and balances.
Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and authorizations as needed.
Verify insurance information and protect patient confidentiality (PHI).
Process patient intake and checkout, scan records, and maintain accurate charts.
Answer inquiries courteously and manage multiple deadlines; keep supplies stocked.
Ensure smooth patient flow and communicate with providers and staff about arrivals.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS guidelines as applicable.
