Zusammenfassung

Lorain County Health & Dentistry (LCH&D) is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve patients as the first point of contact, handling registrations, appointments, and payments. The role supports clinicians and liaises with billing, ensuring a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a healthcare front desk role, strong computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in reception/CS in healthcare preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
• Accurate typing and data entry.
• Able to coordinate multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with diverse patients.
• Knowledge of dental/medical terminology.

Aufgaben

• Register patients with accurate demographic and insurance info.
• Schedule appointments per guidelines.
• Complete daily scanning/indexing duties.
• Collect co-pays and payments, issue receipts.
• Monitor insurance plans and validity.
• Coordinate with billing to ensure proper payments.
• Maintain accurate records and HIPAA compliance.
• Handle high-volume calls and walk-ins.
• Build positive relationships with patients.
• Provide professional phone etiquette and messages.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
