This role involves handling payments, deposits, daily cash balance, generating reports, and coordinating with the Business Office on billing issues.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of customer service experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Medical terminology is a plus.
• Basic understanding of insurance and authorizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including telephone etiquette and in-person interactions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Schedule therapy appointments, including cancellations and rescheduling.
• Oversee the clinic waitlist and call patients for confirmations.
• Verify referrals and insurance information with CIU as needed.
• Prepare registration packets for initial visits and verify required paperwork in the system.
• Confirm physician orders prior to scheduling return visits.
• Order supplies and maintain clinic inventory.
• Provide general office support (filing, copying, faxing).
• Create new medical record projects in Image Now upon admission with necessary forms.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as directed.
• Serve as clinic liaison with Business Office on billing issues.
• Prepare and store end-of-day summaries and deposits.
• Collect patient payments and balance cash drawer.
• Respond to voicemail and email in a timely manner.
• Log referrals and track in Referral Database.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
