Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a friendly Patient Service Representative to welcome patients, collect information, and guide them through check-in and check-out processes. You will schedule appointments, handle phone inquiries, and support coordination of physician schedules.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, insurance verification, and patient communication in a busy clinical setting. Previous medical office experience is preferred, with day shifts and hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Preferred: one to two years in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner and check them in/out.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information; collect payments when scheduling or checking out.
• Schedule appointments for established and new patients as appropriate.
• Answer phones, return calls, take messages and provide accurate information.
• Coordinate the physicians’ schedules and maintain knowledge of specialties and practices.
• Maintain a neat, up-to-date lobby and waiting area.
• Manage medical records and related paperwork with accuracy and completeness.
