Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Patient Service Specialist to deliver outstanding front-office support at our Flanders, NJ location. You will manage scheduling, patient flow, and data entry while coordinating with clinicians and payers to ensure smooth clinic operations.

This role requires a customer-service mindset, multitasking ability, and reliability for early mornings and evenings across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in medical office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance preferred.
• Basic computer skills including keyboard familiarity and word processing.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with staff, patients and community.
• Must be available early mornings and evenings for all shifts Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the highest level of customer service to patients, staff and referrals through front office coordination.
• Manages patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation and clinic statistics.
• Compiles reports and data on patient demographics and third-party payers.
• Obtains and tracks insurance authorizations.
• Collects, reconciles and prepares daily deposits for over-the-counter cash.
• Demonstrates exceptional communication skills.
