Job summary

Kessler Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support front-office operations at the Montgomery/Somerset site. You will coordinate patient scheduling, reception duties, and medical records while ensuring timely authorizations and accurate data handling.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with early mornings and evenings. The role requires strong customer service skills and familiarity with health insurance processes within a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years in medical office setting preferred due to multitasking needs.
• Knowledge of health insurance preferred.
• Basic computer skills including keyboard, word processing, filing, and communication.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills required to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
• Must be available early mornings and evenings for all shifts Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high level of customer service to patients, staff and referrals through front-office coordination and administration of clinic activities.
• Handles patient scheduling, reception duties, medical record preparation, clinic statistics and report compilation.
• Obtains and tracks authorizations; collects, reconciles and prepares daily deposits; maintains accuracy in data and communications.
