Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative at Logan Clinic Family Medicine. The role focuses on first contact with patients, greeting and checking‑in/out, verifying information, and resolving intake-related needs to ensure a positive patient experience.

Core duties include documenting calls in the EMR, scheduling visits, registering patients, and assisting with insurance/billing tasks. Hours support a 30‑hour weekly schedule at the Logan Clinic in Utah.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills (word processing, data entry).
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous connections with patients by phone, in person, or secure messaging and resolve patient needs related to intake and care.
• Document calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming/updating demographic data in the registration system; identify patients per procedures.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards/IDs; verify information for COB and pre-certification.
