Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a Patient Services Specialist to deliver front-end patient support, manage intake, scheduling, medical records and financial transactions with accurate documentation and friendly service.

The role covers multi-site coverage, HIPAA compliance, EMR documentation, and coordination with physicians and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communications across locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting; physician office experience preferred
• Demonstrated customer service focus with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Education: High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and verify identity per standards; document arrival in EMR.
• Schedule appointments and manage physician schedules; resolve conflicts.
• Maintain patient charts in the EMR; ensure accurate records.
• Process patient payments and post transactions; issue receipts.
• Comply with HIPAA and clinic policies; coordinate across locations.
• Provide coverage and support across multiple Patient Services stations.
