Job summary

AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and care team coordination on-site in Omaha. You will anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and proactively manage daily schedules to deliver high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patient-centered service.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules; manage cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data into EMR accurately.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare charts and documentation prior to visits to ensure smooth flow.
• Enter charges, collect payments, and assist with claim submission.
• Run reports to ensure billing is up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to minimize bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Support retention through recall and routine reminders.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
