AEG is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations and support patient flow across the care team. The role emphasizes clear communication, schedule optimization, and proactive coordination to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

You will verify insurance, maintain EMR data accuracy, and collaborate with clinicians and optics teams to facilitate smooth transitions during visits. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR and practice management systems.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as the primary contact for interactions.
• Answer calls, inquiries, and emails promptly and professionally.
• Schedule and optimize provider appointments; manage cancellations and same-day fills.
• Send appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data in EMR.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Record charges, collect payments, and assist with claim submissions.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to reduce bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support recall and follow-up for retention and annual visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized front office.
