Job summary

AEG Vision in Minnesota is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to welcome patients, manage front desk operations, and support patient flow across the care team. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain accurate EMR records to ensure a smooth visit.

You'll collaborate with clinicians and staff to optimize provider schedules, communicate wait times, and support recall and reactivation efforts while upholding confidentiality and high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

• Greet patients in a friendly, professional manner and be the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient demographics before visits.
• Enter and maintain complete information in EMR with accuracy.
• Explain insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; monitor balances.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules as needed.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
