AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and schedule coordination. You will support the care team, confirm appointments, verify insurance, and maintain EMR data accuracy to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, handling communications, optimizing provider calendars, and assisting with billing and chart preparation.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with patient-centered service.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors; primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules; handle cancellations and rescheduling.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows and prep patients for visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data into EMR.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits for flow efficiency.
• Collect charges, co-pays, and payments; track balances and assist with claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules to prevent bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients to maintain experience.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for seamless care transitions.
• Support retention via follow-up, recall, and reactivation for appointments.
• Maintain organized, clean front office; perform other duties as needed.
