Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to oversee front desk operations, manage patient flow, and coordinate across the care team. The role focuses on anticipatory service, clear communication, and efficient scheduling to deliver a high-quality patient experience.

You will greet patients, verify insurance, manage appointments, and support billing and documentation in EMR. This full-time on-site position offers benefits and growth opportunities within the practice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers and vendors in a friendly, professional manner.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails professionally.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter accurate demographics in EMR.
• Prepare patient charts and manage charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR.
• Monitor patient flow and coordinate with clinical/optical teams.
• Support recall, follow-up, and retention for annual/medically necessary visits.
