Job summary

Elk Ridge Community Health is seeking a Patient Relations Representative to greet patients, manage the patient portal, verify demographics and insurance, and collect financial obligations. The role requires HIPAA-conscious handling of information and accurate data entry in the EHR system.

Responsibilities include scheduling Telehealth and in-clinic appointments, scanning documents, answering calls, and coordinating with providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7–11 months experience in data processing, clerical/administrative work.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card in good standing or applied within seven working days.

Responsibilities

• Greets and checks in patients, verifies demographics, insurance documents, referrals, and enters data into the EHR system.
• Scans documents daily.
• Schedules Telehealth appointments and other internal specials as needed.
• Answers phone, schedules and follows up on appointments, and takes messages for providers and staff.
• Verifies accuracy of open tickets by reviewing billing charges/holds/unretrieved charges.
• Provides backup support for other office positions and handles insurance follow-ups and referrals.
