Elk Ridge Community Health is hiring a Patient Relations Representative to greet patients, manage the patient portal, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule follow-ups. The role includes data entry in the EHR, document scanning, and handling billing-related charges with HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 7–11 months of clerical/data processing experience, and a Level I fingerprint clearance. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7–11 months in data processing, clerical/administrative tasks or equipment operation.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid or applying within 7 working days after starting.
• Certification in data processing, clerical/administrative, or equipment operation preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; verify demographics and insurance; update data in the EHR system.
• Scan documents daily and manage patient portal communications.
• Schedule Telehealth and internal appointments; handle phone calls and messages.
• Explain insurance benefits and collect patient financial obligations.
• Maintain clinic schedules and stay updated on local programs (e.g., SFS).
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and HIPAA.
