Elk Ridge Community Health is seeking a Patient Relations Representative to greet patients, monitor the patient portal, verify demographics and insurance, and secure referrals and health records as needed. You will check in/out patients, schedule follow-ups, manage data in the EHR, and support various clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role emphasizes accuracy in documentation, HIPAA-compliant communication, and familiarity with local programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7–11 months of data processing, clerical/administrative experience, or equipment operation.
• Level I fingerprint clearance card required or applied within seven working days after starting employment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Greets and check-in patients, monitor and respond to the patient portal, verify demographics and insurance, enter data into the EHR.
• Scan documents daily.
• Schedule Telehealth and internal specialty appointments as needed.
• Answer phones, schedule and follow-up appointments, direct calls, and take messages for providers/staff.
• Sort and distribute mail daily.
• Verify accuracy of the provider receiving the documents.
